Life Teen update: Meet at Melody Gardens Wed. Night..

Hi everyone, just a quick reminder we will meet tomorrow night at Melody
Gardens at 6pm, Hope you can join us. We will be meeting weekly through
the summer on Wed. nights, so see you this summer. I will get the
applications for Venture Crew to you soon.

Life Teen Wednesday night, Venture Crew update

Hi everyone,
Life Teen will be at the normal time tomorrow night, at 6:15pm, however
I will be speaking to the 7th grade class for 5-10 minutes about the
REAP program, but I should have everything set up for you, and should
be back by 6:25pm
Last weeks presentation on the Venture Crew program went well. The
students are very interested. In summary, the Venture Crew is under
the umbrella of the Boy Scouts, stresses faithfulness to God, and is
for both male and female students ages 14-18. Pat Guldan is starting a
group, which will for now just include students from St. Johns and
Sacred Heart/Corpus Christi. It will cost $15/year to start, and they
are planning on a monthly outdoors trip, usually on a weekend. Each
trip taken would have an additional cost, around $10 to $25. Please
let me know by email preferably if you would like your child to sign
up. There isn't an obligation to attend each event, and we are setting
this up as an optional component of Life Teen, to expand our offerings.
The weekly Wednesday meetings will not change. Just let me know if you
are interested, and I can get you the forms needed. The $15 is not an
issue, so if this is not in your budget, you will not have to pay that.
Just let me know and we can cover that cost. We can also assist with
the costs of the monthly trips, whatever it takes so we can have
maximum participation.
We also decided to continue our Wednesday meetings through the summer.
I hope this will work for you, and I'm looking forward to a great
summer. By the way, a week from tomorrow will be the roller skating
party at Melody Gardens, so we will meet there instead of Toeller Hall.

Life Teen parents invited tomorrow night...

Hi everyone!
I hope you are having a blessed Easter season. Tomorrow night we will
have a special presentation by Pat Guldan about the new "Venture Crew".
Pat has worked with the Boy Scouts in the past, and is now starting a
local group based in Marshfield that will organize day trips for
Catholic youth ages 14-18. For example, on 4/28 there is a planned
trip to Lambeau Field and the Hall of Fame. This will not replace Life
Teen, it is simply something I am looking into that we can do in
concert with Life Teen. As you know, we have a small group, which puts
limits on planning, trips, and activities. If we can attend the
Venture Club events, it will increase the pool of youth attending,
which will expand our possible trips/events. The events will probably
be once a month, and we will consider each offering on a case by case
basis.
I am interested in your input as well, so please attend tomorrow night
at our regular time (6:15pm) to see the presentation. Please feel free

Life Teen Update: Holy Thursday Mass tomorrow night...

Hi everyone!
Just a reminder, tonight we did not have Life Teen, but we will be
attending Holy Thursday Mass at 6pm @ Sacred Heart on April 5th
together. This is not a Holy Day of Obligation, but is still highly
recommended and an important day.
Our last three scheduled meetings after that are April 11th, 18th, and
25th. There will be a presentation on 4/11 about the new
"Venture Club", so I will give you more details on that later. Start
thinking about what you would like to do this Summer. Let me know if you
would like to still meet weekly in the Summer, or if you would prefer a
looser schedule of trips/events, or a combination of the two. Let me
know what you think.

Life Teen Update: Shadow Stations this Wed.

Hi everyone!
This Wednesday (3/28), rather than meeting at Sacred Heart at 6:15pm, we will meet at the Columbus High School gym at 6:15pm to see the Shadow Stations. They will probably last for about 45 minutes to an hour, so a safe pick up time would be around 7:30p.m. This drama will be presented by students from St. John's and Christ the King. Please join us for this important event. I will wait for you at the door of they gym, so we can sit together.
On April 4th there will be no Life Teen, but we will be attending Holy Thursday Mass at 6pm @ Sacred Heart on April 5th together. This is not a Holy Day of Obligation, but is still highly recommended and an important day.

Life Teen update, can you help with the St. Patrick's festival this weekend?

Hi everyone,
Just a reminder, that Mandy will be going into labor any day now, so
watch your email for Life Teen cancellations!

Also, this Saturday, March 17th from 4-7pm is the St. Patrick's Festival
at Sacred Heart. This is a fundraiser to raise money for Totus Tuus, a
Catholic Day-Camp for youth this summer. We are hoping to raise enough
money to make Totus Tuus free of charge.

The festival is this Saturday from 4-7 pm, so any help during this time
would be appreciated.

This Thursday we will be setting up at 6pm, decorating Toeller Hall and
making posters. Please meet in Toeller Hall Thursday at 6pm if you can
help. Please help either Thursday or Saturday if you can.

Right now Life Teen will still be held this Wednesday, but I will send out
an email if Mandy goes into labor. Please keep us in your prayers so this
will be a smooth delivery.

Also, I will be awarding REAP points to any student who helps
Thursday or Saturday.

Life Teen this Wednesday, and St. Patrick's Day Festival

Hi everyone,
This Wednesday for youth group we will first meet directly in the
Church for an opportunity for Confession/Reconciliation. If there is
time, we will return to the youth room for the remainder of the hour
and work on our B.I.B.L.E. T-shirts. Please bring any stencils or
ideas you have, I will have the blank shirts and fabric markers
ready. If we don't get to them this Wednesday we will continue the
following week.

On Saturday March 17th we are looking for helpers to help staff the St.
Patrick's Festival at Sacred Heart. Judy Gachnang is working hard and
taking the lead on this, to raise money for Totus Tuus, a powerful
summer camp to be held this summer for Sacred Heart and Corpus Christi,
led by College students. The festival is from 4-7pm on St. Patrick's
Day, which is a Saturday. I will award 2 points per hour to any
student who helps with this project. We will need to make posters,
laminate tickets, etc ahead of time and will have a work day at Judy's
house, and then the older students will run the carnival games on the
festival day. Judy is thinking of making T-shirts for the ones who want
to help, so she needs a count of who will help.

The St. Patrick's festival will have ham and turkey, dressing, potatoes
and gravy, salad bar, desserts, and hotdogs , maybe a chocolate fountain
We will have carnival games in the gym. Tickets are $7 sold after Mass
the week before and $8 at the door, $3 for children under 18, preschool
free. We will have a bake sale and religious items for sale as well.
