Special Marshfield Area Youth Group night, and Immersion deadline is October 20th

Hello everyone,

  Dan Kitzhaber from St. John's has invited us to a special youth group night, at 8pm on October 30th, which is a Wednesday.  We will still be having our 6:15-7:15pm class at Sacred Heart, and I would not ask you to attend both.  Let me know if you would like to attend, as it would be nice to get together with other Catholic students in Marshfield.  I attached the flyer.  Please let me know this week yes or no on the meeting at St. John's, and I need to know if you would like to attend the Immersion Retreat by Ocober 20th, (4 days from now).  Right now I have Sierra and Jared interested. 

The Immersion retreat is on November 9th and 10th at the Chula Vista Resort in the Wisconsin Dells.  This years theme is "Build your Kingdom Here".  The keynote speaker is Chris Padgett, and there will be live music by "Traditional Division".  The cost is $140 per person.  Please contact David Alcott if you are interested in joining us for this life-changing retreat.

Life Teen Update

Life Teen H.S. Youth Group

 

We have now begun our 2013-14 year, all high school youth are welcome to join us on Wednesday nights from 6:15pm to 7:15pm in the youth room in Sacred Heart School.  It is in the room with yellow walls next to the Arts + Crafts room on the top floor.  This year we have combined the 9th grade Religious Education students with our Life Teen students.  We are now focusing especially on building our faith, and growing closer to Jesus, to strengthen the students for the critical high school and college years. Please pray for us as we begin a new year.

Pilgrimage for Life

January 19th -23rd, 2014 is the Pilgrimage for Life in Washington D.C.  Please contact David Alcott if you are interested in participating in January. The cost is to be determined.  This is a great opportunity to pray and witness for the unborn.

Life Teen Update, Skating party tomorrow

Hi everyone,
You are welcome to join us at Melody Gardens tomorrow Wednesday from
6-8pm, this will be our last regularly scheduled Life Teen meeting until
the Fall. I would like to set up a special event or two over the
summer, so please let me know if there are weekends to avoid. Also don't
forget to attend Totus Tuus this summer at Sacred Heart (August
4th-9th), I highly recommend it. You are all in my prayers.

Life Teen Update: Guest Speaker

Hi everyone,
Tomorrow night Amy Gachnang will visit to tell us her story on how she
found her vocation to be a religious sister. Tomorrow night will also
be our last regularly scheduled Life Teen, as the week following is the
Skating party. I would like to get together over the summer once or
twice for a local retreat (Patrick Dolan's house) and possibly a trip.
Let me know if you have any weekends this summer already committed.

What are Shadow Stations?
It is the passion of Christ presented live by the youth of
St. John's and Christ the King using biblically narrated
accounts, music, reflection, special effects, prayer, and a live
multicolor re-enactment of the last hours of Christ's earthly
life done in "shadows."
This multimedia presentation follows the last stages or
"stations" of Christ's human life. It allows everyone a more
personal experience of both the pain and triumph of Jesus. In
less than an hour, the depth of the shadows, draw you in to allow
you to share in Christ's passion by truly "walking with
him" in the final hours of His life.

Re: 40 Days for Life

Friends in Christ, I am adding a few more names to this E-mail and trying
to get the word out as well to support this "Life changing" Literally!
ministry to the unborn. I was involved in past campaigns during my
formation and heart are changed the process, sometimes our own. I am out
of town this weekend to a retreat in LaCrosse but plan to sign up for some

Family Planning Health Services 200 Division Street, Stevens Point (sidewalk in front of the mall).

The goal is to have 2 to 4 people praying at all times.

Spend time on Sunday participating in the 40 Days for Life Prayer Vigil
campaign.

40 Days for Life is a peaceful, prayerful - and proven effective - pro-life
campaign that has already been embraced by more than half a million people
worldwide, saved 6,749 lives from abortion, led to the conversion of 75
abortion workers, and seen 25 abortion facilities close.

That is Radical!



Marshfield will be covering Sundays, beginning February 17 from 7 am to 7
pm.

Family Planning Health Services 200 Division Street, Stevens Point (sidewalk
in front of the mall).

The goal is to have 2 to 4 people praying at all times.

Hi All, I have received several phone calls and E-mails already about
Religious Education Classes for tonight. If you get any calls, it is our
policy that if Marshfield schools are cancelled or let out early, we will
not have CCD Classes. I have sent an E-mail to WDLB to announce the
cancellation throughout the day and that our Parent's Meeting for First

Life Teen update, tonight we meet at Our Lady of Peace Parish

Hello everyone,
Tonight we will not meet at Sacred Heart, but at Our Lady of Peace from
6:30-8:30pm for the Bodies+Boundaries presentation by Jeff
Arrowood. Please note this is two hours long rather than one hour long.
Thank you to all who helped with the St Vincent de Paul Fellowship meal.
Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ.

Life Teen update, Wednesday night Volunteer @ SVDP

Hi Everyone!

Happy new year!

This is a friendly reminder that Life Teen will help serve the meal for
the poor
at St. Vinnie's tomorrow, Wednesday, January 2nd 2013, Please help from
4:30pm to 6pm, I had previously said 3:30pm, but Judy said that was too
early, 4:30 to 6pm is better.
I will not be able to be there, but Dennis Boucher and Judy Gachnang will
be there.

Please let me know if you would like to help serve - and feel free to
invite a friend to help!

Also, on January 9th we will not meet at Sacred Heart, but at Our Lady of
Peace from 6:30-8:30pm for the Bodies+Boundaries presentation by Jeff
